Following the recent publication of the EFC and FIE calendars, BF is publishing a provisional list of nominated events, recognising the ongoing uncertainty over travel and the possibility of further changes to the calendar.
Please find below the current European Fencing Confederation (EFC) and FIE U17 (Cadet) and U20 (Junior) international competitions. With the continued uncertainty around international travel and the potential for local restrictions to prevent travel from the UK, all are subject to change.
In additional the EFC Executive Committee has established Covid-19 regulations applicable for all EFC tournaments which are available on the EFC website here.
Athletes can apply to be entered for non-nominated EFC Cadet or FIE Junior World Cup events for development purposes. There are no ranking points available for non-nominated events and if more than 4 fencers wish to attend athletes/parents/coaches will need to source referees at the required standard or pay the local fine as applicable. Rules around referee quotas and fines can be found on the EFC website here on page 3 section 4 and on the FIE website here, o.25 and o.31.
