NOMINATIONS OPEN: FISU SUMMER WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES 2025

Fencing nominations are now open for the upcoming FISU Summer World University Games taking place in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, on the 16th-27th July 2025.

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) as the National University Sport Federation (NUSF) within international university sport, sanctions the participation of GB students on behalf of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The process for athletes who wish to be considered for selection has two steps:

1. All athletes who wish to be considered for selection must submit the online registration by 11.59pm on 31st March 2025. The online registration form can be found here on the BUCS website.
2. As part of the nomination form, you are required to submit a ‘BUCS Institution Athlete Nomination’ form. Any athlete who fails to complete the online registration and submit the supporting documentation (IANA form) by the deadline above may not be considered for selection. The form can be found on the BUCS website here, and once completed must be sent to gbstudents@bucs.org.uk.

If an athlete fails to complete both parts of the application process, they will not be considered for selection.

Athletes must also match the eligibility criteria to be able to compete. Please confirm your eligibility prior to completing the nomination form.
