Paul Klenerman represented GB in men’s sabre at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Here he shares his Olympic memories and speaks to Mark Lyttle about his work in contributing to the search for a vaccine against Covid-19.
A graduate of Clare College, Cambridge, Paul works in infectious diseases and immunology. His work in antibody tests, T Cells, intensive care interventions and the data he gathered around Hep C vaccines, helped build knowledge for the Oxford team as they developed a vaccine to fight Covid-19 during the pandemic.
Paul is interviewed by Mark Lyttle, Chair of British Fencing, Irish Laser Champion who competed in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
