James Williams steps into a part-time/volunteer Olympic Team Manager and British Olympic Association (BOA) Team Leader role.
Johnny Davis, Head of Olympic Teams, has decided to resign from his position. His last working day was the 9th October.
Georgina Usher, CEO, said,
“I would like to thank Johnny for his significant contribution to British Fencing and wish him the best for his future endeavours. I would like to acknowledge that Johnny has been the most successful Senior Team Manager that British Fencing has had in the modern era in terms of medals won at FIE Senior Championships.”
With immediate effect the role of Olympic Team Manager will be undertaken by three time Olympian (1992, 1996 and 2000) and BF Board Director, James Williams. As a volunteer, James’s role will be to focus on the British Olympic Association (BOA) Team Leader role in the run up to Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028.
