It is with great sadness that we have to report David Heaton, former GB Wheelchair Fencer and Chairman of BDFA, passed away on January 9th.

“It is with great sadness that we have to report David Heaton, former GB Wheelchair Fencer and Chairman of BDFA, passed away on January 9th. David had been battling cancer quietly and had recently been hospitalised with sepsis.
David was a true warrior on the piste and had the interests of the sport and its future off it. He will be sadly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers at this sad time are with Cindy, family and friends.”
