A summary of measures outlined in Phase 2 and what it means for fencing activity in Scotland
Overall, Phase 2 is a further easing of restrictions and we are hopeful fencers and all our members can take this chance to reconnect with their community as the number of households we interact with has changed from two to three.
We retain the recommendation of not travelling further than 5 miles as per government guidelines and those in the community who are shielding we hope you can enjoy the opportunity to return to outdoor exercise.
This is not a return to our sport as we know it but an opportunity for people to use some outdoor non-contact sports as part of daily exercise activities but only within the guidelines.
The key points are –
Do not leave your home to take part in sport or physical activity if Scottish Government advice means you should stay at home because you or someone you live with has or has had symptoms of COVID-19,
Those shielding may take part in coaching sessions providing these are outdoor with one other household and all participants respect strict 2m distancing.
Please keep checking the Scottish Government website link here and Scottish Fencing’s website link here for further updates on resuming fencing activity in Scotland.
