Shanghai to host last Grand Prix of the season
The last Grand Prix of the season takes place in Shanghai, China this weekend as all eyes will be on the Rio qualified fencers aiming to capitalise on potential ranking points for the Olympics.
Senior Women
The women’s event begins tomorrow at 1.30am (BST) and continues with the round of 64 at 6am (BST) on Saturday. The medal matches are scheduled for 9.30am (BST). No British fencers have entered this event.
Senior Men
The men’s event begins on Saturday at 1.30am (BST) and the round of 64 starts at the same time on Sunday. The medals matches will begin at 9.30am (BST). James-Andrew Davis, Laurence Halsted, Richard Kruse, Marcus Mepstead and Ben Peggs are the British contingent for this competition.
Chinese internet restrictions mean that it is unlikely there will be a live results or streaming service.
