​​JOIN THE TRUE ATHLETE PROJECT’S GLOBAL MENTORING COHORT

Applications for the 2025 cohort of The True Athlete Project’s Global Mentoring Program are open. The closing date is 31st October. 

The True Athlete Project (TAP) is a charity bringing together Olympians, Paralympians, clinical and sport psychologists, mindfulness teachers and even policymakers in its ambition to support improving athletic performance whilst nurturing mental wellbeing and cultivating a more compassionate culture in sport.

In April 2019, British Fencing announced a new partnership with TAP. One aspect of the project is a mentoring programme, in which senior GBR fencers are matched with aspiring youth fencers who would not otherwise have access to high quality and individualised support.

With the 2023/24 cohort of the mentoring programme now finished, TAP is offering young athletes a chance to apply for their Global Mentorship Program for 2025.

​Are you a young athlete, aged 15 – 24, committed to growing through sport? Would you benefit from the personalised support of an international athlete, who’s been in your position, and who is passionate about helping you to work towards your goals?

Or are you a current or former international athlete (aged 24+) who wants to give back to the next generation? Do you want to receive a variety of training opportunities and hands-on experience of holistically supporting a committed young athlete?
