Under the direction of the Boards of BF and BDF, with the support of Sport England and other partners in para-fencing, work continues on transferring delivery responsibilities from BDF to BF.
Thank you to everyone who completed the online survey to let us know your views on the proposed transfer of delivery responsibilities from BDF to BF. There is strong support for the proposal from both BDF and BF members who responded to the survey.
The project remains on track to complete the transfer of delivery responsibilities from BDF to BF as from the 1st April. Both Boards are very supportive of progress to date as are the project funders, Sport England, with excellent engagement with both EIS and UK Sport. This is an exciting time as we work collectively to secure the long-term future of para-fencing. We are busy planning for the transfer and will update you on these activities in due course, including how BDF members can continue to help shape and support our future plans.
We are preparing an FAQ response that aims to address queries, questions and observations raised through the survey process and this will be published within the next 7-10 days. If you do have any immediate observations, please email the project manager directly ([email protected]) and she will do her best to respond.
Note: UK Sport currently fund the EIS to deliver the Para-fencing World Class Programme (WCP). Delivery of the WCP falls outside the scope of the responsibilities of BDF and as such is outside the scope of this transfer of responsibilities.
