UPDATED WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Thanks to recent enhancements to our Sport:80 settings, clubs can now provide more detailed information about their accessibility features.

Recent Sport:80 enhancements mean BF can now share updates about wheelchair accessibility in fencing clubs nationwide. This includes providing more information on whether they offer level access, disability-specific sessions, available toilet facilities and para-fencing equipment.

As a result, our understanding of where disabled individuals can participate in fencing has greatly improved.

Key Highlights:

  • We now have data on 133 wheelchair-accessible clubs—a significant increase from the 62 clubs identified in the 2023 Level Access Survey.
  • While not all clubs have accessible toilets or para-fencing equipment yet, this is a huge step forward in creating a more inclusive fencing community.

The updated wheelchair-accessible clubs list reflects this progress and serves as a valuable resource for anyone looking to join or support these clubs.

Is Your Club Missing?
If your accessible club isn’t on the list, please speak with your club administrator to ensure your details are updated on Sport:80. Club details can be added using the form here: Wheelchair Accessible Fencing Clubs

Let’s work together to make fencing accessible to everyone!
