About the courses

The En Garde!…Ready? course will present BF welfare policies and guidelines, giving Welfare Officers the information that they need to support their clubs to implement fencing specific welfare polices and procedures. This training is not mandatory for the BF Welfare Officer Register but it is highly recommended, particularly to officers whose clubs don’t have their own welfare policies.  This course is open to participants from all the UK nations.

Time to Listen/BF Welfare Officer training is a mandatory training for Welfare Officers in the BF Welfare Officer Register and needs to be renewed every three years. The Time to Listen courses offered by BF Equality and Safeguarding Manager are specific for a fencing context. Time to Listen is mandatory for officers based in Wales and England. Officers based in Scotland must attend the Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer Training (CWPO), provided by sportscotland.

How to book?

Bookings and payments can be made directly with Liz Behnke, who can be contacted on [email protected].
